Q
: Where are you located?
A: Our venue, the Carolina on Southport, is located at 100 Southport Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29306  - behind Oasis and the Fuddruckers restaurant. 
 
Q: How much does it cost to have an event at the Carolina on Southport?
A: There are 3 components to budgeting your event: rental of the space, catering, alcohol and beverages.  Price information for the building as well as in house catering and alcohol options can be viewed here. If you need something special, that's our specialty! Contact us to create a custom option just for you. 

Q: How do I book an event? 
A: Message us at contact@CandSeventsandcatering.com to check on availability. Once your date is selected, 50% of the building rental or 50% of your catering estimate will secure the event date and is applied to your final invoice. 50% of your total estimated balance is due 6 months prior to your event and the balance is due 2 weeks prior along with any updates to your final guest count.   


Q: How many people does The Carolina on Southport (100  Southport Rd) accommodate?
A: We can host 175 seated guests (150 with a dance floor) and up to 280 guests for cocktail style parties. Our almost 2-acre property also has room to add a large tent to accommodate additional festivities outside.  

Q: What is the parking situation for The Carolina on Southport (100 Southport Rd)?
A: Our property features 125 free on-site parking spaces for your convenience and designated ADA parking spaces next to the building. 

Q: Can I bring in my own decor?
A: Absolutely! We provide tables, chairs and black or ivory linens in the rental package as well as glass cylinder candles for the tables. We have acrylic floral stands, upgraded ivory linens, white feather centerpieces and ivory ruffles for chairs that are available to rent.  Other than that, you are welcome to bring in any additional decor you'd like. If you need recommendations for floral arrangements, we work with some talented artists and can help you procure something beautiful. 

Q: What are my options for music?
A: We have an inhouse sound system as well as access to Spotify if you have a playlist you want to use for your event. Or you can bring in the DJ or band of your choice. 

Q: Can I bring in a cake or desserts?
A: Yes, we welcome any outside cakes or desserts for your special event. $1.50/person fee may apply for cutting and serving any desserts brought on property.  

Q: Can I use my own caterer?

A: Yes, we welcome any licensed caterer. A $350 kitchen fee allows you to bring in the licensed caterer of your choice to use our DHEC approved kitchen and they'll have access to the prep tables, ovens, cooler, warmer and dishwasher. This also covers the liability and additional clean up required from bringing food of any type into the buildings. 

Q:
Why do I need servers if my caterer has them?
A: At C&S Events and Catering, we strive to maintain a level of service that guests can expect every time they visit our venue. With that in mind, we will handle the clearing of plates, replenishing of beverages and attending to guests so that  your caterer can focus on the food preparation and presentation. 

Q: Can we bring in our own alcohol?
A: No outside alcohol is allowed. We have a full beer, wine and liquor license, liability insurance and Servsafe certified bartenders to safely serve alcohol to your guests. We have options for cash and hosted bars or a mix of the two depending on your event and budget. 

Q: Do you cater off-site?

A: YES! We are a licensed and insured caterer that will bring the food and service to you! Whether at your home or another venue, we can cater and bartend your next event. We bring the serving table linens, chafers, serving utensils plus the food and beverage and our attentive service. We are the exclusive caterer for wedding packages at the Barn at Poplar Springs Farm and on the list of preferred caterers for the Spartanburg Auditorium and Indigo Hall. We also regularly cater to many other local wedding venues and in private homes.

 Are you the team from Citizens and Southern Events?
A: Yes! C&S Events and Catering was founded in 2020 in the historic Citizens and Southern Bank Building. While we have chosen not to renew our lease at that location, we have proudly transitioned into our own space—The Carolina on Southport. You’ll find the same experienced team and exceptional service, now with expanded offerings including off-site catering and bartending service.
